Valentina Sutti
Valentina Sutti is a director and an editor who works in short films, feature films and advertising. She mostly deals with issues about social marginalization: homosexuality, emigration and urban culture and disability.
In 2008 she directs her first short film, The Barber De Siviglia, which was selected to represent European short films at Boston LGBT Film Festival.
In 2009 she directs, with the support of cultural association Filmmaker, the documentary Tango Illegal, which was a good success and was screened all over the world during tango and dance festivals. In 2010 the documentary was selected at Premio Libero Bizzarri.
In 2011 she shot several teasers from her first feature film Falafel Revolution. The project won many international prizes.In 2012 she wrote and directed the short filmThinking about that was screened in festivals all over the world and won a Cogeser Special Prize at International Melzo File Festival (Italy).
She is currently working in Toronto as editor and assistant director in independent projects.
